Critically praised for playing the titular role of Nelson Mandela in the biopic Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Idris Elba has recently been named by People magazine as “the sexiest man alive”. He has been married three times, with two children coming out of these relationships. His movies have grossed over $3.6 billion in North America alone, making him one of Hollywood’s top-paid actors.

His eldest daughter, Isan Elba, who he calls “Issy”, is a rising star herself. She was recently named the Golden Globes Ambassador for 2019. So the daughter of a single father was tasked with handing out trophies during that year’s Golden Globe Awards Ceremony.
