Ricky Martin | Valentino and Matteo
Technology has made it possible for LGBT couples or singles to have children of their own. One clear example of this is Ricky Martin, with his twins, Valentino and Matteo. This path is not usually easy for future daddies, especially because during the time he was looking for a surrogate mother, he has not come out as gay just yet. A few even questioned why he would go the surrogacy route when he can adopt.
The singer, however, pushed on as he really wanted to have kids. While he might have been single during that time, and it would be difficult raising two kids, he welcomed Valentino and Matteo with open arms when they were born in 2008. Martin is no longer single now and is happily married, but he raised his twins as a single parent for a reasonable amount of time. We give him credit for raising his eldest twins with dignity.
Mary Louise Parker | William Atticus Parker
Breakups are complex, not just for the partner who was left but also for any children involved. When Mary Louise Parker learned that her partner would be leaving her, she was devastated because she was pregnant at that time. The Golden Globe Award winner, however, was not about to give up. She kept quiet about the whole thing and only talked about the incident years later.
She focused her energy instead on raising her eldest son, who arrived in 2004. Does she have regrets as a single mom? The actress says that she feels that the perfect family paradigm does not exist and that she does everything she could to raise William Atticus to be the best version of himself. We can even guess that she is teaching him money management skills and other practical skills he can use in life. She also considers her children the coolest people she has ever met!
Orlando Bloom | Flynn Christopher Bloom
Known as Legolas to the Lord of the Rings trilogy’s fans, Orlando Bloom is “Daddy” to his son Flynn. Many controversies surrounded his birth, with Flynn’s middle name being inspired by a former boyfriend of her mother, Miranda Kerr. The actress had already promised Chris that he would name her son after him. He took it up with Bloom, who readily agreed.
The two, however, separated, with their lawyers finalizing the process in 2013. That left Flynn under the care of his father, who was very doting. During the early years of Flynn’s life, Bloom was silent and rarely posted photos of her son. When he started dating Katy Perry, however, he started talking about his son as well. Perry, meanwhile, considers Flynn as her very own son and expresses thanks to him for all the love. In 2020, Bloom showed a video of his son strapped on an adventure course during Katy’s Foundation’s Camp Firework.
Sheryl Crow | Wyatt Crow
Some believe that the ultimate fulfillment for a woman is to become a mother. Apparently, Sheryl Crow was a believer in this saying. When she communicated her desires to then-husband Lance Armstrong, the latter decided to walk away because he was not ready to become a father. Crow, being the powerful woman that she is, decided that having no husband is not a hindrance to becoming a mother.
She then decided to adopt her first child, Wyatt Crow, shortly after he was born in 2007. The Grammy Award winner also adopted a second son she named Levi in 2010. The singer-actress admits that being a single mom is difficult, but with a slight degree of change in priorities, she was able to raise Wyatt and Levi on her own. She also revealed that consistency is her secret to raising both sons–that and taking a hiatus from her commitments when the two were still very young.
Michelle Williams | Matilda
Wife to the legend Heath Ledger, Michelle Williams was left alone to raise their daughter when the actor passed in 2008. They had already separated the year prior, but the two had been loving co-parents to Matilda, who was born in 2006. Williams, however, was determined to make things better for her daughter.
The Dawson’s Creek star decided she would shield Matilda for now from the entertainment industry. They probably had the latest home security system installed to keep camera-wielding journalists out. Williams revealed in an interview that she enjoys private life with her 15-year-old daughter. Ledger referred to Williams as the perfect mom, and he was not wrong. The actress considered Matilda the embodiment of her former partner’s legacy–someone she was proud of. She believes that taking a break and taking Matilda out of the city helped the two of them pick up the pieces.
Liam Neeson | Micheál Richardson
Among the highest-grossing actors in Hollywood, Liam Neeson seems to have it all. He even won an Academy Award for Best Actor. Neeson was also happy with his wife, Natasha Richardson and their two children. Fate had other plans, though, as tragedy struck in 2009 when The Parent Trap actress passed away, leaving Daniel and Micheál to their father’s care.
One thing we can be assured of is that if anyone takes Neeson’s children, he would find them and deal with them no matter what. That is the extent of love that is very apparent from this dedicated father. Micheál is now 25 years old, but his love for his mother has never dipped even a bit. He even asked the help of a lawyer to have the courts change his last name to Richardson as a tribute to his mother. When presented with the script for Cold Pursuit, he instantly remembered his mom.
Denise Richards | Sami Sheen
Many associate Denise Richards with James Bond for her role in the franchise’s The World Is Not Enough in 1999. She is a prominent figure who has appeared in many movies, including Scary Movie 3 and Undercover Brother. However, what brought her name to the level of name recall was her rather publicized split with Two and a Half Men lead actor, Charlie Sheen.
The two met and started dating in 2001. They then had two daughters, the eldest of which is Sami Sheen. While she was pregnant with their second daughter, Richards sought the help of an attorney to start the separation process. By 2006, it was finalized, and she was left with the task of raising the two as a single mother. She is now married to Aaron Phypers and now has three daughters, including Eloise, who she adopted in 2011. We can say that Richards came through with raising her children well.
Channing Tatum | Everly Tatum
Magic Mike actor Channing Tatum is rather hard to imagine as a father, but he is–to a lovely daughter, Everly Tatum. His daughter was born in 2013, the same year when White House Down was released. So if anything, we can be sure that Channing would do everything in his power to protect his daughter.
So when Tatum and Jenna Dewan decided to call it quits, it was hard not just for the actor but also for their daughter. While she was just six years old at that time, she would have missed her mother so much. Her father, however, was always there for her, and so was her mother, who had a co-parenting arrangement with him. It would be a degree difficult at first, but with both parents showing their love for the young child, we hope that she grows up a real classy lady.
Kate Winslet | Mia Honey Theapleton
The famous Titanic lead actress has had three husbands and three children by them. In between these marriages, she has been raising her children as a single mother. Her eldest child by Jim Theapleton, Mia Theapleton, was born in 2000, two years after her parents said their vows. Their separation in 2001 meant that the toddler would have to be raised by Winslet alone.
Winslet has made every effort to make sure Mia and all her children live a good life. She most likely made passive investments on top of her acting career to sufficiently provide for them. Now that Mia is 20 years old, it appears the young adult would follow in her mom’s footsteps. She has already debuted on A Little Chaos and had another breakthrough film, Shadows, in 2020. So did Winslet do an excellent job of raising Mia and all her children? We think so.
Liv Tyler | Milo William Langdon
From 2001 to 2003, Liv Tyler was hugely associated with the movie trilogy Lord of the Rings. She played Arwen Undómiel in that series. We can credit LOTR for the many projects that arrived at her doorway after. It was also in 2003 that she married Royston Langdon. The two had one child together, Milo William Langdon, who was born in 2004. Tyler revealed in an interview with People magazine that her son calls her “precious”.
When Tyler and Langon called it quits in 2009, however, it became a bit difficult for the five-year-old Milo. The actress, however, was not in a hurry to be in a relationship right away. She said that engaging in casual dates is not her things and that she falls in love once in a blue moon. Her single mom status changed in 2014 when she fell in love with David Gardner, who loves Milo like a biological son.
Antonio Banderas | Stella Del Carmen Banderas
Academy Award winner Antonio Banderas was once married to Melanie Griffith from 1996 to 2015. When they decided to part ways, Banderas was left to take care of their daughter, Stella Del Carmen. She is the only daughter of the almost 10-year marriage. Their lawyers finalized everything in 2005, in what the former couple described as a loving and friendly separation.
It is apparent that the actor has done a good job raising Stella as a single father. His daughter now models on Instagram for various businesses, likely that of her friends. She has been complimented for her good looks, which she has gotten from both parents. Her father would have also taught her basic life skills, including money management. Considering the separation was amicable, Stella and her half-sister Dakota Johnson remained good friends. When their parents were still together, she attended her first Golden Globe Award alongside Johnson.
Sandra Bullock | Louis Bardo Bullock
Considered as one of the most influential women in the world by Time magazine in 2010, Sandra Bullock is also the recipient of a Golden Globe and an Academy Award. She was also ranked among the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood in 2010 and 2014. For sure, she has made investments with the millions that went to her bank account.
This would have made taking care of her children, including Louis Bardo Bullock, a lot easier. Louis was adopted from Louisiana right after Katrina happened. She also adopted another child, Laila. When asked about how it was like raising two adopted kids, the Miss Congeniality actress says that one does not have to be a biological mother to raise the children. She loves them the way she would a biological child. Bullock also thinks highly of her children, even calling Louis a wise kid.
Idris Elba | Isan Elba
Critically praised for playing the titular role of Nelson Mandela in the biopic Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Idris Elba has recently been named by People magazine as “the sexiest man alive”. He has been married three times, with two children coming out of these relationships. His movies have grossed over $3.6 billion in North America alone, making him one of Hollywood’s top-paid actors.
His eldest daughter, Isan Elba, who he calls “Issy”, is a rising star herself. She was recently named the Golden Globes Ambassador for 2019. So the daughter of a single father was tasked with handing out trophies during that year’s Golden Globe Awards Ceremony. Did you know, though, that this was not her first significant Hollywood moment? At five years old, Isan joined her dad for the Emmys. With a great degree of certainty, we can say that this lovely daughter will be following her father’s footsteps!

The TV show host has a daughter with Adam Dell, who they named Krishna Thea Lakshmi-Dell. She turned 11 last February 2021, and this lovely child looks a lot like her mom. At one point, Lakshmi was not that open about her daughter, but now she is happily posting video clips of them together at home. During her 10th birthday celebration, the author even penned a heartwarming message on Instagram for her daughter. We can be sure that her mom is making sure that Krishna is well-provided and would not need any student loans in the future.
Louis Tomlinson | Freddie Reign
First gaining prominence as a member of the boy band One Direction, Louis Tomlinson was a one-time actor as well. He appeared as an extra in the ITV drama If I Had You. He later auditioned for X-Factor but was eliminated and put into a group of other contestants. Making the best of an unfavourable situation, they formed the band One Direction.
Tomlinson has one child, Freddie Reign. At one point, he and Freddie’s mother, Briana Jungwirth, hired lawyers and engaged in a fierce custody battle. Born in 2016, Freddie is now five years old and is the apple of his father’s eye. To shield Freddie from controversies, Tomlinson has kept their life together private. He has been dividing his time between the UK and the US so that he could spend more time with his son. Would Freddie take up music when he grows older? We can only hope.
Kate Moss | Lila Grace
At 14 years old, Kate Moss was already making her way into the modeling scene. Since then, she has had the chance to work with brands such as Chanel, Calvin Klein, Versace, and Dolce & Gabbana. Along the way, Kate also made investments in other projects, appeared in music videos, sang in a few records, and put up her very own perfume line.
Despite the fame she’s garnered under the spotlight over the years, it’s safe to say this model’s greatest achievement is becoming a mother for her daughter, Lila Grace Moss-Hack. Born on September 29, 2002, Lila now follows in Kate’s footsteps and has already worked with Miu Miu and Marc Jacobs, among other brands. Although she’s still relatively new in the business, it sure looks like Lila is already getting closer and closer to becoming just as popular as her mom.
Colin Farrell | James Padraig & Henry Tadeusz
There’s almost always a motive for the things we do. For Colin Farrell and his decision to pursue acting, perhaps a portion of the credit goes to Henry Thomas, whose performance in ET the Extra-Terrestrial moved Colin to tears. Since then, he has made quite a name for himself in the entertainment industry, having starred in movies such as Phone Booth, Minority Report, Horrible Bosses, and Seven Psychopaths.
At this point, it comes as no surprise the actor has an impressive fan base. Well, two such people among its ranks would surely be his kids, James Padraig and Henry Tadeusz, the youngest of the duo. The only request they have for their actor father, though, is for him to stop taking on villain roles. Perhaps they find it hard to associate their loving father with the antagonists he’s portrayed along the way.
Sharon Stone | Quinn Kelly, Laird Vonne, & Roan Joseph
For her introduction to the entertainment industry’s bright lights, Sharon Stone began her career as a model. After competing in a few pageants, Sharon shifted her sights to the world of acting. Besides her acting career, Sharon also had another wish she wanted to fulfill – becoming a mother. Along the way, she also had a few on-screen roles, landing acting credits for titles such as X-Men: First Class, Seeking Justice, and Mad Men.
Outside the spotlight, Jones enjoys her personal life with utmost privacy. With that said, it comes as no surprise she’s done all that she can to keep her only son, Xander Dane, away from the public and paparazzi’s prying eyes. Despite being a single mom, Jones still manages to be the best parent her son can ever have. Plus, they have plenty of friends and neighbors to keep them company.

Since then, Sean has made quite a name for himself in the rap scene.
Along the way, the rapper-producer has also dabbled in other ventures, now owning his very own clothing line Sean John and vodka brand Ciroc. Even so, it’s safe to say none of these achievements can compare to the happiness he has for his kids, Justin, Christian, Chance, D’Lila, Jessie, and Quincy Brown. Christian is already following in his father’s footsteps, creating music under the name King Combs, and the same can be said for Quincy, a singer and actor who’s starred in the TV show Star.
Minnie Driver | Henry
Besides studying at Collingham College, Minnie Driver also took drama classes at Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. With the knowledge she’s acquired, Minnie eventually began her career under the spotlight, debuting in 1991 in a Right Guard commercial. Since then, after a couple more minor roles, Minnie has garnered widespread recognition for her part in films such as Good Will Hunting, Circle of Friends, and The Phantom of the Opera.
To her fans, Minnie may be most known as an actress, but at home, she is – above all else – a loving mother. Although a single parent, Minnie is now more than happy to have her boyfriend Addison O’Dea around to help raise Henry, her only son. Besides their attendance in red-carpet events, not much is known about the duo, including the career choices they wish to take. Well, whatever it may be, their loving mom will surely always have their backs.

With all he has done over the years, it’s safe to say Eminem has inspired numerous aspiring artists along the way.
In one way or another, becoming a parent is an investment in its own right. After all, who wouldn’t be proud to see their kids grow into great people, right? Well, such is the case for Eminem, who’s more than grateful for his three daughters, Hailie, Alaina, and Whitney. Although Alaina and Whitney have since opted for a more private life, the opposite is said for Hailie, who is now a well-known figure on social media platforms, particularly Instagram. Despite the fame, the trio remains humble and down-to-earth.

Over the years, she’s also had the chance to work on other movies such as Monster’s Ball, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
Besides looking forward to their on-screen performances, many fans also enjoy keeping track of a celebrity’s whereabouts outside the spotlight, and Halle is no exception to this. Although they are still quite young, it’s safe to say Halle is raising the duo to be the best people they can be.
Madonna | Lourdes Maria, Rocco, David Banda, Mercy James, Estere, And Stella
The music industry has introduced us to many notable figures, one of which is none other than the Queen of Pop herself, Madonna. Born Madonna Louise Ciccone, the singer has since sold more than 300 million records worldwide, making her one of – if not – the best-selling music artists the industry has ever had.
Besides singing, Madonna is also akin to a ball of electricity whenever she performs on the concert stages, surely giving fans a memorable experience. Outside the spotlight, however, the singer is – above all else – a loving mother of six kids, Lourdes Maria, Rocco, David Banda, Mercy James, and twins Estere and Stella. With that said, Madonna prefers to keep her family life behind closed doors, though she’s also not shy to share a few glimpses on social media. Well, by the looks of it, it’s safe to say they’ll make it big someday.

Patricia Taylor and Samuel Nowlin Reeves Jr. met in Beirut, but unfortunately, the happiness didn’t last. Samuel both left Patricia and Keanu when Keanu was just three years old. Reeves currently doesn’t have a relationship with his father, and the last time they saw each other was back when Keanu was 13 years old. However, Keanu remains in close contact with his mom. Angelina’s parents both aspired to cultivate successful acting careers. Her father, Jon Voight, found relative success as an actor in the entertainment industry. However, Jolie’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, struggled to achieve success as an actress while raising two kids all by herself. Indeed, Bertrand was a loving mother to Jolie and her sibling. She even made sure that Jolie’s kids were okay, even though she might have felt unhappy or lonely at times.
Kanye West | Donda West
Kanye West is one of the most influential people in 21st-century pop culture. Kanye started out as an amazing and successful rapper who ruffled more than a few feathers for his delusions of grandeur. In an interview with Today, the American Idol superstar considered her mother her rock during her childhood and in the early stages of her career. She also gives her mom credit for having helped her handle everything the entertainment industry put her through.
Jeanne Taylor certainly succeeded in teaching her daughter how to be resilient. Her resilience definitely came in handy in the face of criticism. Kelly also says that Jeanne was a hard mom. Jeanne would often force Kelly to ‘Get up and try again,’ and Kelly thinks that it served her well.
Christina Aguilera | Fausto Aguilera
Christina Aguilera is one of the most successful and most recognizable celebrities today. Interestingly, her life wasn’t always filled with glitz and glamour. In an interview with Paper Magazine, Christina highlighted the massive respect that she has for her mother.
Christina also says that she hates when people ask her, “Why don’t you just leave?” There’s certainly a lot of hidden trauma, psychological damage, and mental abuse that came with being in a hostile situation like that. Despite her unfortunate early life experiences, Christina definitely deserves a ton of credit for persevering and rising out of her situation. Today, not only is she one of the most popular music icons, but she’s also incredibly successful in several fields outside of music.

Linda Evangelista has one child, Augustin James, for whom she battled her ex for child support. Linda went through a child support battle with Augustin’s father back in 2012, according to The New York Times. We’re not sure why Linda decided to go through with it considering she’s worth $40 million herself. She surely won’t need to apply for a money loan to finance and provide for the needs of her 14-year old son. Nonetheless, we’re confident that she prioritizes her son’s future when it comes to handling legal pursuits.
Kelis | Knight-Jones
Kelis was a well-known RnB singer in the 90s, and she’s also a solo parent. She recently shed light on her situation as a single mother and says that being a single mom is “awesome” and that she hates it when some people offer her sympathy for her past relationship with Nas. She raised his son, Knight, and pointed out that there was only one voice that truly mattered — hers. The “Oilshake” singer says that “You only have to worry about yourself.”
Besides her excitement in raising her child alone, Kelis was also incredibly excited about returning to music after a brief four-year hiatus. Kelis currently has a net worth of $4.5 million, so we’re pretty confident that she’ll be able to provide for the needs of her son, Knight. We’re also looking forward to seeing Kelis succeed in her return to the music industry. She certainly deserves credit for persevering as a solo parent.
